Are you aware of how much trauma impacts the brain and our behavior? According to the CDC, almost 30% of the population has experienced at least one Adverse Childhood Experience that results in trauma. Trauma not only has long-term impacts on our health, but also influences how we think and act in our homes, workplaces, and schools. In this workshop, you will learn what trauma is, what unhealed trauma does, and what it means to operate with a trauma-informed lens. I tailor this workshop to specific audiences and its applications are universal. I frequently combine this workshop with Circles because Circles can be a trauma-informed practice. It is essential that schools implementing restorative practices do so through a trauma-informed lens.
